If you need to assign public access login and password information to a batch of customers that do not yet have logins and passwords in ACTIVE Net, use the Generate Login page.
This is particularly useful after you have imported customers into ACTIVE Net from an external system: use the Generate Login page to assign logins and random passwords to the new customers so that they can begin using the public access site as quickly as possible.
Each customer who is assigned a new login and password will be sent a notification email with their new login details.
Go to Administration > Population Settings > Customers - Generate Login.
Use the filters in the Search Criteria section to narrow down the list of customers that you want to receive new logins and passwords, if necessary.
Note: Customers who already have real passwords will always be excluded from the search results. This process will never overwrite passwords for existing customers who have already used the public access site and have selected their own passwords.
Click Search.
On the Preview Customer Search Result page, review the list of customers who will be sent new login information.
To remove a name from the list, select the corresponding Exclude checkbox.
To add a name to the list, click Add a Customer.
Click Generate and Email Logins Now.
