ACTIVENet is enhancing its communication tools to deliver best‑in‑class capabilities for content creation, automation, and communications management. To provide a better user experience when customizing and sending emails, ACTIVENet now includes a powerful email tool.
Go to Communication > Email > New Email Tool.
Under the Messages > Emails tab, create a new email, filter emails by status, search for emails by keyword, edit/delete a draft email, and view/reuse a sent email.
To create a new email, click the Create Email button:
In the EMAIL INFORMATION step:
In the Subject field, enter an email subject. You can also insert an object into the subject line by clicking the Inserting object dropdown, which lets you pull dynamic information unique to the customer receiving the email (for example, First Name).
Select the Sender Name that recipients will see. This determines who the email appears to be from.
In the Recipients field, click Add contacts and select one or multiple customer list to receive the email.
In the Reply to field, enter the email address that will receive receive customer reply emails.
In the Description field, briefly describe the purpose of the email. Note that the content entered here is for internal use only and will not be visible to customers.
In the Subscriptions dropdown, select an existing subscription list or create a new one to receive the email.
Select “I have obtained permission to send emails to the recipients.” to proceed to the next step.
In the EMAIL CONTENT step, optionally apply an email template or drag and drop widgets from the right pane to the canvas and then edit the widgets as needed.
To draft the email using the AI content generator, after adding a text widget, click the Generate button to open the Generate content popup. Select an appropriate Marking Goal and Event type, choose a required activity and then click Generate. To insert the generated content into the email body, click Apply.
In the PREVIEW & SEND step, preview the email content on a PC or mobile device, send a test email to your own email address first and then choose whether to send the email now, schedule it for a later time, or schedule it to be sent based on a trigger by specifying the event type and the condition that will activate the email.
After you send the email, you will return to the main page. While the emails are being delivered, the status of the communication will show as Sending. Once all emails have been delivered, the status will change to Sent.
View the email statistics in the following columns:
View the total number of sent emails in the Delivered column
View the ratio of people who opened the email versus the total number of people who received it: Open Rate = Opened Emails ÷ Total Emails Received.
View the ratio of recipients who clicked a link within the email versus those who received it: Click Rate = Clicked Links ÷ Total Emails Received
Under the Messages > Templates tab, create and edit email templates as required (refer to the email creation section).
Under the A/B testing tab, you can create A/B tests to identify which email version drives better engagement, and use that insight to optimize future emails.
To create an A/B test:
Click the Create A/B test button.
On the What would you like to test popup window, select the Subject line type or Content type to compare the results by different email subject lines or different email body contents.
On the Create A/B test page, enter or select the A/B test name, required subject, sender name, recipients, delivery time and any other optional options.
For Subject line type, enter two different email subjects. For example, in the email subject line, address customers differently. For Content type, in the Design and content section, enter two different email bodies. For example, in the email body, apply different tones and styles.
In the A/B test settings section, specify the percentages of the two variants to receive the A/B test, and the percentage to receive the winning message by dragging the ratio icon. Then specify whether the winning message will be sent automatically after the specified time.
Under the A/B testing tab, staff users can:
Filter tests by Type and Status.
For each single test, view the statistics for the different variants, select the required test and expand the variant dropdown.
To pause or delete a test, click the more icon and select Pause or Delete.
