Recording a journal entry

Use the Journal Entry page to record manual journal entries of credits made to general ledger accounts.

 

    1. Go to Front Desk > Financial > Journal Entry.

    2. In the Detail section, select the GL Account to debit.

    3. Enter the Amount to debit from the GL account.

    4. Select additional GL accounts and amounts, if necessary.

    5. Enter Staff and/or Customer Notes.

    6. Note: Staff notes are for internal use only, while Customer Notes will print on the receipt for the journal entry.

    7. Click Submit.
