Use custom payment types when you want to accept a method of payment that is not included among the standard payment types that come with ACTIVE Net. You can assign a specific GL account to each of your custom payment types so that you can easily track the payment amounts coming for different payment types by GL account.
Go to Administration > Financial Settings > Payment Types.
Choose one of the following:
To create a new payment type, click Add New.
To modify an existing payment type, click the Name of the payment type that you want to modify.
Select a GL Account for the payment type.
Click Save.
