Use this page to automate certain settings for importing customer data from an external system (for example, SIS). This reduces the need for manual updates.
Administration > Population Settings > Customer - Scheduled Load File.
From the Scheduled Load Frequency dropdown list, select how often you want to load an updated file (Never, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly).
Enter the Time of Day to upload the file.
If you are using a Balance Forward column in your customer file (for account balances), select an Offset G/L Account from the dropdown list to apply the balances to.
Select a method for uploading the customer file. Select one of the following:
Load through FTP - Enter the FTP Address, Port, Username and Password to upload the customer file from. To hide the username when uploading, select Anonymous.
Note: If your FTP server supports SSL/TLS, you can choose to select Require explicit/implicit FTP over TLS from the Encryption list.
Load through HTTP - Enter the URL to upload the customer file from.
Load through HTTPS - Enter the secure URL to upload the customer file from.
(Optional) To notify staff when the customer file is uploaded, in the Send Notification Email to listbox, enter one or more email addresses separated by commas.
If you send notification emails, you can also display a list of all newly created Customer IDs in the emails. Select Show Customer ID's created in the notification email when the load is complete.
Click Save.
