Reasons

Reasons are the notes that are attached to sales or refunds. These notes can also be customized at the time of sale or refund but this list of standard reasons will be available from a dropdown list.

How are they added or modified?

Note: For non-standard transfers, use an Other transfer reason type and enter text (for example, moving customers to a holding course pending approval in an actual course). When you use one of the specified transfer reasons, you cannot enter accompanying text.

 

To add

From the Reasons List page, clicking Add New brings you to the Change Reason Detail page, allowing you to create a new record.

 

To modify

From the Reasons List page, clicking an underlined Description displays the Change Reason Detail page, allowing you to make any necessary changes.

 

On the Change Reason Detail page, you will find the following input fields with the option to Save or Delete the record at the bottom of the page:

The description of the reason as will be selected at the time of sale or refund.

Required.

Text Text The text that will be printed on the customer's receipt.
  
Although this is not a required field, the reason will not be available for selection at the time of sale or refund if there is no text entered.
Allow for Daycare Absent? Checkbox To make this reason available for selection for absences from a daycare (FlexReg) program, select this checkbox.
Show for Online Activity Withdrawals? Checkbox To make this reason available for selection by consumers in the CUI when they withdraw from a registration, select this checkbox.
 
Note: To configure an activity to require a withdrawal reason, select the Administration > Registration Settings > Activities > Add New button or (an activity > Name and Details > Change Details) > Options > Require withdraw reason checkbox.
