Recording a journal transfer

Use the Journal Transfer page to record manual journal entries of debit and credit transfers made to general ledger accounts.

 

    1. Go to Front Desk > Financial > Journal Transfer.

    2. In the Detail section:

      1. Select the GL account to debit from the Debit G/L Account list.

      2. Select the GL account to credit from the Credit G/L Account list.

      3. Enter the Amount to Transfer.

      4. Note: The amount will be transferred from the debit GL account to the credit GL account. So if you want to move a specific amount from one GL account to another, select the account to take the amount from as the debit GL account and select the account to give the amount to as the credit GL account.

    3. Enter Staff and/or Customer Notes.

    4. Note: Staff notes are for internal use only, while Customer Notes will print on the receipt for the journal entry.

    5. Click Submit.
