You can create the following forms of mass communications:
Emails
Form Letters
Text Messages
Create mass emails. For complete descriptions of the options on this page, click here.
Go to Communications > Email/Form Letter > Create Email/Form Letter.
Note: When creating an email or form letter, you can use a predefined Customer List or define the criteria when the email is generated. It saves time if you create and save a customer list, in case you want to communicate with the same group of customers again. If you want to define the criteria without saving a list definition, select the Show Additional Filter Options checkbox to see the extensive list of criteria for selecting email addresses.
When creating the email content, select the email address in the From and To fields, and enter the Subject Text.
Use the Merge Field function to pull values from customers’ records into the body of the email.
When composing the message, it is recommended that you select the View Source checkbox. This is to ensure integrity of the HTML coding, particularly when copying and pasting from another source.
Upload any attachments to be sent with the email to ACTIVE Net by using the File Upload function in System Settings.
Select the Send Email Notification checkbox and enter any internal email addresses that you want to send a confirmation notification to.
To encourage customers with email tracking, select the Track Email Open/Click Through checkbox and enter text in the Click Through Text box.
Specify an Opt-Out list to create emails intended for a predefined subscription list. Opt-out lists may be disregarded until these have been created in ACTIVE Net.
Select the Unique Email Addresses checkbox to ensure that only one email is sent to each unique email address.
Select the Preview Recipients checkbox to preview the recipient list.
Use Emails/Labels to either send emails to customers with a valid email address or to create mailing labels for customers who do not have a valid email address.
Enter the format of the customer name in the Customer Name Format field. This is the format that will be displayed in the email report.
Enter the date and time in the Send Date and Time box if you want to send the email at a later date or time.
