Coupon Type

Dropdown list

Type of coupon, as selected from the following:

• Registration: applies a percentage or fixed dollar amount discount on registration fee.

• Merchandise: applies a percentage or fixed dollar amount discount on activity merchandise.

• Marketing: used to record response to marketing campaigns.

• Free merchandise: used when giving away free merchandise or for recording response to marketing campaigns.

• Membership: applies a percentage or fixed dollar amount discount to packages or package categories you specify in the Qualifying Memberships section, below.

• Daycare: applies a percentage or fixed dollar amount discount on a daycare fee.

• Usage Fee (Membership):  applies a percentage or fixed dollar amount discount on a usage fee

Coupon Category

Coupon category used to classify the coupon for reporting purposes.

Charge

Dropdown list

Charge that the coupon is attached to.

GL Account

Dropdown list

General ledger account to which the coupon is attached.

Discount Type

Dropdown list

The discount type, as selected from either Fixed Discount or Percentage Discount.

Discount Amount

Numeric

The discount amount attached to the coupon.

Required if you have selected Fixed Amount as the Discount Type.

Discount Percent

Numeric

The discount percentage attached to the coupon.

Required if you have selected Percentage Discount as the Discount Type.

Turn Off Coupon

Checkbox

Option to turn off the coupon so that it does not appear in the list of available coupons.

Date From

Date

Date when the coupon becomes valid.

Date To

Date

Date when the coupon expires.

Used Again In

Numeric

Option to reuse a coupon after its initial validity period.

For example, you may want to issue the coupon again for use in another activity or campaign after 6 months.

Days of Week

Select the days of the week that the coupon is valid.

Weeks of Month

Checkboxes

Select the weeks of the month that the coupon is valid.

Months of Year

Checkboxes

Select the months of the year that the coupon is valid.

How Many

Specify the usage allowed for the coupon:

• Total Coupon Limited Quantity: Enter the total number of times that the coupon can be used (by all customers).

Note: Enter '0' (default setting), to allow unlimited usage.

• Maximum Uses Per Customer: Enter the maximum number of times any particular customer can use the coupon.

Note: Enter '0' (default setting), to allow unlimited usage.

The remaining numbers of coupon usages (per customer and total) are displayed on the Customer Coupons page.

Tax Applicability

In the tax table, select one or more applicable taxes to be charged when the coupon is applied.

Note that this section is hidden for Marketing and Free Merchandise coupon types.

Qualifying Activities

Activity

Activity Category

Link to the Activity Category page, where you can select activity categories for which the coupon is valid.

Season

Link to the Season page, where you can select seasons for which the coupon is valid.

Qualifying Memberships

Select either specific Packages or Package Categories for which customers can apply membership coupons.

1. Click one of the following links:

• Packages

• Package Category

2. In the pop-up box, search for Packages or Package Categories.

3. From the search results, select the packages or package categories that you want to add, then click Add All Selected.

4. Click Done.

Eligible Membership Sale Types

This section is displayed only when the Coupon Type is set to Membership. Three membership sale types are all enabled by default.

Membership Sale

Checkbox

If this checkbox is selected, the coupon can be applied when the membership is sold.

Membership Renewal

Checkbox

If this checkbox is selected, the coupon can be applied when the membership is renewed.

Membership Transfer

Checkbox

If this checkbox is selected, the coupon can be applied when the membership is transferred.
