Managing league games

After a league schedule has been generated, you can manage specific game information.

Prerequisite Components

Prior to managing league games, the following data points must be configured:

    1. Select the Administration tab.

    2. Select the following menu links: League Settings > Leagues.

    3. Search for and select the desired league.

    4. Select the Manage Schedules link.

    5. Search for and select the desired schedule.

    6. Select the Manage Games link.

Managing League Games

The Manage Games page displays a grid with the following information for each game in the league schedule:

 

There are also several hyperlinks that allow you to address specific areas of the game information:

 

By default, when you come to the Manage Games page, the Customize Schedules functionality is displayed, and the following actions can be performed:

 

To Delete a Game

To delete a game, select the corresponding checkbox under the Delete button column then click the Delete button.

 

To Swap Games

If any team has a scheduling conflict, it is possible to swap the date, time and location of a team's game with another scheduled game of other teams.

 

Select the corresponding checkboxes for the two games to swap under the Swap button column then click the Swap button. The dates, times and locations of the games will remain the same on the grid but the playing teams will be swapped. For example, the date, time and location for the game between Team A and Team B can be swapped with the game schedule between Team C and Team D.

 

To Add a New Game

To add a new game, clicking the Add New button will take you to the Change League Schedule Pairing page, allowing you to enter a new game.

 

To Edit an Existing Game

To edit an existing game, click the corresponding Edit link to go to the Change League Schedule Pairing page where you can modify the following fields, with the option to Save or Delete at the bottom of the page:

Start Date Date

Date the game starts; entered in month, day, year format or by clicking the calendar icon and selecting a date from the pop-up calendar.

Note that if a game has been postponed, and a reason for the postponement has been entered on the Change League Schedule Pairing page.

 

The postpone reason will also appear in red font under the date.
End Date Date

Date the game ends; entered in month, day, year format or by clicking the calendar icon and selecting a date from the pop-up calendar.

Required.
 
Note: The End Date is automatically updated to match the Start Date. You only need to change this date if the game ends on a different date.
Start Time Time

Time the game starts; entered in HH:MM AM/PM format.

Required.
End Time Time

Time the game ends; entered in HH:MM AM/PM format.

Home Team Dropdown list

Team playing in the game that is designated as the home team, as selected from the list of teams included in the league schedule.
Away Team Dropdown list

Team playing in the game that is designated as the away team, as selected from the list of teams included in the league schedule.
Game Site Dropdown list

Game site where the game is taking place, as selected from the list of game site facilities previously selected for the tournament schedule.

Scheduled Officials
Available Officials Listbox

List of available officials who can be assigned to officiate games in the league schedule.

 

Select a desired official, then click on the right-arrow button to add to the Selected Officials listbox on the right.
Selected Officials Listbox

List of officials already assigned to officiate games in the league schedule.

Select a desired official, then click the left-arrow button to remove from the Selected Officials listbox.

Dressing Room Assignments
Home Team Dressing Room
Dressing Room Dropdown list

Select the dressing room to assign to the home team.
Start reservation Numeric

Enter the number of minutes before the start of the game at which to start the dressing room reservation.
End reservation Numeric

Enter the number of minutes after the end of the game at which to end the dressing room reservation.
Away Team Dressing Room
Dressing Room Dropdown list

Select the dressing room to assign to the away team.
Start reservation Numeric

Enter the number of minutes before the start of the game at which to start the dressing room reservation.
End reservation Numeric

Enter the number of minutes after the end of the game at which to end the dressing room reservation.

 

Note: When a game is modified, it is validated to ensure that the game site is available on the date and time specified, and does not create a conflict for either team or the officiating team. The game site is also reserved, if necessary.

 

The Game Distribution link reports for each team the number of home games, number of away games and total number of games.

 

The Time Distribution link reports for each team how many games are played during the different available timeslots and their total number of games.

 

The Game Site Distribution link reports for each team how many games are played at each of the available game sites and their total number of games.

 

The Team vs. Team Distribution link reports how many times each of the teams play each other.
