Cash distribution by account

This report displays cash distribution amounts by payment type for each GL account for a particular date or date range.

 

For each account, amounts for each payment type are listed (cash, check, credit card, debit memo, manual deduct, electronic funds transfer (EFT), and journal entry payments).

Clicking the Recall / Schedule a saved report definition button at the top of the page takes you to the Report Definitions page, where you can select a previously saved report definition.

 

The following fields are available on the Cash Distribution by Account page:

The following filters are available on the Cash Distribution by Account page: GL Account, Financial Department, Transaction Site, System User, and Transaction Date and Time Range.

Standard Options

Group By Transaction Site

Checkbox

Option to group the report by transaction site.

 

Summaries and sub-totals will be displayed for each transaction site.

Summary Report

Checkbox

Option to produce a summary report or a detailed report.

 

A detailed report will be produced if this checkbox is deselected.

 

Summary reports will only display the cash distribution totals for each G/L account, while detailed reports will list individual transactions for each account.

 

This option is unavailable if you have selected Microsoft Excel (Tabular Format) as the Output Type below.

Include Online Transactions?

Checkbox

Option to include data from transactions that were created on the customer (public access) site.

 

Note: This option is only visible to system users who do not have a multi-site user profile.

Output Type

Dropdown list

The output type or format of the report.

 

The available output types are Adobe Acrobat Reader, HTML, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Excel (Tabular Format).

 

If you want to export this report using a plain format and no subtotals so that you can easily manipulate the figures in a spreadsheet, select Microsoft Excel (Tabular Format).

Financial Export

Summary Report

Dropdown list

Option to produce a summary report for financial export, as selected from a predefined list.

 

Summary reports will only display the cash distribution totals for each G/L account.

Detail Report

Dropdown list

Option to produce a detail report for financial export, as selected from a predefined list.

 

Detailed reports will list individual transactions for each account.

Output Type

Dropdown list

The output type or format of the report, as selected from a predefined list.

 

The available output types are Comma Delimited, Tab Delimited and Pipe (I) Delimited.

Dropdown list

Option to reports by GL Account or Receipt Number, as selected from a predefined list.

Save Report Definition

Report Title

Option to save the report definition for later use.
