For an improved user experience, to display the redesigned CUI pages in French or Spanish, organizations can:
to enable the multi-language feature, go to the Administration Home > System Settings > Configuration – General page and select the required language.
on the Maintain Translation page, for user-defined text in English, enter the corresponding text in the required language
On redesigned CUI pages, a language selection dropdown (defaults to English) is displayed in the top-right corner. If consumers select Français o Español, then the redesigned CUI pages are displayed in French or Spanish.
This Maintain Translation page is displayed only if the Multi-lingual feature is enabled for your organization.
ACTIVENet already has system labels and messages translated into French and Spanish. On this Maintain Translation page, organizations must translate their user-defined English text into the required language for display in the required language on the redesigned CUI pages.
Under the Administration > System Settings > System User Profiles > select a user profile > Function and Report Authorities section > Function Options sub-section:
To grant permission to a system user profile to open the Maintain Translation page and view translations, click >> to move the Administration: System - Maintain Translation permission from Available to Read Only Access.
To grant permission to a system user profile to edit French text on the Maintain Translation page, click >> to move the Administration: System - Maintain Translation permission from Available to Full Access.
To enter French or Spanish text for user-defined English text, on the Maintain Translation page, select the required language and then:
To view translations, select the required module and then optionally select a sub-menu and/or search by a keyword.
For a user-defined English text, in the French Translation or Spanish Translation field, enter the required translation and click Save. For example, if the organization created a Class activity type, then staff users can enter the French translation (Classe).
