Manage sub-activities

The Manage Sub-Activities page allows you to attach sub-activities (or child activities) to an activity (which will become the parent activity). You can create sub-activities by either finding existing activities to be this activity's sub-activities or by creating new sub-activities for this activity.

 

Note: If the activity is already attached to an Activity List, or if it is part of an activity group, or if it has transactions associated with it, then you will not be able to attach a sub-activity.

 

    1. Go to Administration > Registration Settings > Activities.

    2. Search for and select the activity that you want to be the parent activity.

    3. On the Activity Functions page, click Manage Sub-Activities.

    4. Choose one of the following:

      1. To add an activity that already exists as a sub-activity, click Add From Existing Records.

      2. Note: Existing activities that already have transactions or that have teams assigned cannot be attached as a sub-activity.

      3. To create a new activity to be a sub-activity, click Add New.

      4. Note: Creating a sub-activity is similar to creating a regular activity. Many options of the sub-activity are inherited from the parent activity by default.

      5. To remove an existing sub-activity from this activity:

        1. Click the checkbox of the sub-activity that you want to remove.

        2. Click Remove.

        3. Note: You cannot delete a sub-activity that already has transactions.

      6. To modify an existing sub-activity, click the Name of the sub-activity that you want to modify.
