Setting up package option details

Set up a package option, such as duration or cost of a membership package.

  1. In the Package Option Name section:
    1. Enter the Option name.
    2. Enter an Age range if you want to ensure that only people within a specific age range can sign up for this membership option as of the Registration date or a Custom date.
    3. If you have set up more than one payment account, select the required Payment account for this option.
  2. In the Fees section, enter the Membership fee.
  3. From the Membership type list, select one of the following:
    • Duration: if you select Duration, you must set the Membership duration as the number of Days, Weeks, Months, or Years. The membership starts on the first day of each week, month, or year according to your choice.
    • Annual: if you select Annual, you must define the start date. For the Annual option, the membership length is one year. In the Early Registration section at the bottom of the page, you can select Pre-order or Early bird options so that the membership can be purchased in advance.
      • None: memberships cannot be purchased before the membership Start date.
      • Pre-order memberships start on the membership Start date.
      • Early bird memberships start immediately once the membership is purchased.
For example, if you select Early bird as 3 months before, a member can purchase the membership 3 months in advance and can get a maximum of 3 months of free membership before the annual membership start date.
    • Specific date: if you select Specific date, you must enter the membership term From and To dates.
Note: Specific date memberships cannot be renewed and do NOT support Allow Early Renewals or Allow Auto-Renewals.
    • Lifetime: lifetime memberships incur a one-time membership fee, have no end date and cannot be renewed. They can be purchased as part of a multi-tier membership only if the memberships in the other tiers are also Lifetime memberships.
  4. Select the Allow Early Renewals checkbox and select a time constraint to allow members to renew before the expiry date.
Note: Allow Early Renewals is not available for Specific date memberships.
Note: For a multi-tier membership, the Allow Early Renewals setting for the top tier overrides the settings on lower tiers.
  5. Select the Allow Auto-Renewals checkbox if you want the membership to be automatically renewed when it ends. If you set up the auto-renew for a package, membership will be auto-renewed after the grace period. Members can turn off the auto-renewal in Portal.
Note: Allow Auto-Renewals is not available for family/group memberships or Specific date memberships.
Note: For a multi-tier membership, the Allow Auto-Renewals setting on the top tier overrides the settings on lower tiers.
  6. For Annual or Specific date membership types only: To charge a pro rata membership fee, so that late sign-ups are charged only for the remaining membership duration, select the Allow Pro rata fees checkbox.
  7. In Appears on receipt as, enter the text that you want to appear on the receipt for the fee.
  8. To allow a grace period for expired memberships, in the Grace periods section, select Allow grace period for expired memberships and enter the number of days (0 to 60) that the membership will stay active after the expiry date.
  9. In the Emails section, select which emails will be sent to members.
