Alternate key types are the unique identifiers for customers in a third-party system. For example: a customer's student number in a student information system could be an alternate key in ACTIVE Net.
Choose one of the following:
Go to Administration > Population Settings > Customers.
Go to Front Desk > Population > Customers.
Search for and select the customer that you want to modify.
Click Change Alternate Keys.
Choose one of the following:
To specify a new alternate key for this customer, click Add New.
To modify an existing alternate key, click the Alternate Key ID for the alternate key.
Select the Alternate Key Type that you want to link to this customer.
Select the Alternate Key Status of this customer's alternate key, if applicable.
Enter the Alternate Key Id for this customer.
Click Save.
