Officials

Leagues can be configured to either have individuals or teams officiating.

 

If individuals will be officiating, the officials must be identified so they can be attached to the league/tournament.

 

Skills can be attached to the official's record and officials can log in to ACTIVE Net's customer site to manage game results.

Adding and Modifying

To add

From the Official List page, clicking Add New brings you to the Change Official Detail page, allowing you to create a new record. Once an official is entered, a search will be initiated for duplicate records to ensure that this official record is not a duplicate of an existing customer.

 

To modify

From the Official List page, clicking an underlined official's Name displays the Change Official Detail page, allowing you to make any necessary changes.

 

On the Change Official Detail page, you will find the following input fields, with the option to Save or Delete the record at the bottom of the page:

Customer Information

First, Last Name Text

The name of the official.
Required.

Street Text Street address of the official.
 
Clicking on the binocular icon will open the Select Street page, where a street could be selected.
Required.
City, State, Zip Code Text/Dropdown list City, state, zip or postal code of the official.
Required.
Geographic Area Dropdown list Geographic area the official resides in, as selected from a predefined list.
Resident? Checkbox Select this checkbox to indicate that the official is a resident.

Proof of Residency Expires

Date

If officials must provide proof of residency for certain tasks or transactions, enter the date when the official's  residency status expires.

 

Note: To view this function, you must select Resident above.

Site

Dropdown list

Site where this official is assigned, as selected from a predefined list.

 

The site selected will be the only site where the official can be assigned, unless the user has multi-site permission.

 

Selecting All Sites will make the official available to all sites.

SSN

Text Social Security Number of the official.
Home Phone Numeric Home phone number of the official.
 
Area code is required, but the extension number is optional.
 
Either Home or Work phone required.
Work Phone Numeric Work phone number of the official.
 
Area code is required, but the extension number is optional.
 
Either Home or Work phone required.
Cell Phone Numeric Cell phone number of the official.
Pager Phone Numeric Pager number of the official.
Fax Numeric Fax number of the official.
Other Phone Numeric Other phone number of the official.
E-mail E-mail E-mail address of the official.
Gender Dropdown list Gender of the official, as selected from a predefined list.
Date of Birth Date Birth date of the official, in month, day, year format.
 
Click the calendar icon to select a date from the pop-up calendar.

Membership Overusage?

Checkbox

Select this checkbox to flag membership punch cards that have been used over the number of allotted punches.

 

Note that officials can also be customers.

 

This functionality is not related to the 'official' functionality, but to the official as a customer.

Notes

Text

Additional notes about the official that will be displayed on the customer (public access) site for customers browsing activities.

 

Notes could include information about the qualifications of the official.

Security Information

Login Name Text Login name of official for online access to the customer (public access) site
Password Text Password for online access.
 
Type the same password again for verification. Case sensitive.
Question Dropdown list Security question to be asked if the official forgets password and requests a new one.
 
If answered correctly, a new password will be e-mailed to the official's e-mail address.
 
The customer also can change the question by clicking the underlined Change question link then selecting a question from the dropdown list and entering the new answer.
Answer Text Answer to the security question.
 
Type the same answer again for verification.
Case sensitive.

Official Information

Prevent Further Use? Checkbox Select this checkbox to retire the official record so that it does not show up when attaching officials to activities.
Public Information? Checkboxes Select the checkboxes to display them as part of official personal information on the customer (public access) site.
Allow Online Administration Checkbox Select this option to allow officials to view their personal schedules on the public site.

Official Skills

Available Listbox

List of available official skills that can be attached to officials.

 

An official may have multiple skills, and a skill may be attached to multiple officials.

 

Select a desired skill, then click on the right-arrow button to add it to the official's skill set (skill will be transferred to the Selected listbox).

Selected Listbox

List of skills included in the official's skill set.

 

Select a desired skill, then click the left-arrow button to remove it from the official's skill set (will be returned to the Available listbox).
