Transaction comparison

This report shows comparison data between transactions for 3 date range periods. It compares the number of transactions and revenues both on the staff site (front desk) and customer public access site (online).

 

Comparison reports for activity, daycare, facility, and membership transactions are available.

General

Save Report Definition

 

On the main Transaction Comparison Reports page, select the type of report to produce, as selected from the following: Activity Registrations, Daycare Registrations, Facility Rentals, Membership Sales.

 

Click Continue to proceed to the specific report page.

 

On the specific Transaction Comparison Report page, clicking the Recall / Schedule a saved report definition button at the top of the page takes you to the Report Definitions page, where you can select a previously saved report definition.

 

The following fields are available on the Transaction Comparison Report page:

Custom Lists

Custom List Dropdown list

Title of customer list whose transactions will be used to produce the comparison report.

 

Click the Preview/Edit List link to view or edit the custom lists of email recipients.

Show additional filter options Checkbox

Option to select additional filters to the custom list to fine tune the list of customers to create labels for.

 

Selecting the checkbox will display other sections of filter criteria (Population, Activity Registration).

 

Click the More>>> link of a particular section to expand it, allowing you to add filter criteria.

 

Click the <<<Less link  to collapse the section.

 

Note: Adding filter criteria will limit the list to customers who meet all the selected criteria. For example, if an activity is added as a filter, only customers in the custom list who are registered in the activity will be included in the list.

General

Main Comparison Period Date Range Date/Time/Dropdown list Main period of transactions that will be compared to transactions of a second and third period.
 
Enter a date in month, day, year format or click the  icon to select a date from the pop-up calendar.

 

You can also select a period from the dropdown list with the following options: Last Week, Last Month, Last Quarter, Year to Date.

Second Period Date Range

Date/Time/Checkbox

Second period of transactions that will be compared to transactions of the main period.

 

Enter a date in month, day, year format or click the  icon to select a date from the pop-up calendar.

 

You can also select the Same range, previous period checkbox to compare with transactions of the previous period using the same period duration. For example, if the main period is for 20 days, then the comparison will be made to transactions of the previous 20 days. If the main period is from August 1-31, then the comparison period will be July 1-31 (the previous 31 days).

Third Period Date Range

Date/Time/Checkbox

Third period of transactions that will be compared to transactions of the main period.

 

Enter a date in month, day, year format or click the  icon to select a date from the pop-up calendar.

 

You can also select the Same range, last year checkbox to compare with transactions on exactly the same period of the previous year. For example, if the main period is from June 1-15, 2007, then the comparison will be made to transactions from June 1-15, 2006.

Include Details?

Checkbox

Option to include subtotals per sub-grouping used (as selected from the Group By dropdown lists below).

 

For example, if the Gender and Customer Type sub-groupings are used, Front Desk and Online totals will be displayed for each gender and customer type. If the checkbox is not selected, only the grand total values will be displayed.

Include Summary?

Checkbox

Option to include a summary of the transaction comparisons, showing the average revenue per transaction on the staff site (front desk) and the customer site (online) during the main period, and the front desk and online transaction and revenue growth over the second and third periods.

 

For example, if there were 10 transactions worth a total of $100 for the second period, and there were 13 transactions worth $150 for the main period, it will show an 30% transaction growth and a 50% revenue growth in the main period over the second period.

 

Note: At least one of the Include Details and Include Summary checkboxes must be selected, or both checkboxes may be selected.

Include $0 Transactions?

Checkbox

Select this option to include free transactions in the report.

Group By (1st and 2nd)

Dropdown list

Options to sub-group the report, as selected from the following:

  • Gender

  • Residency

  • Active Online Login (customer login name for the customer public access site)

  • Customer Type

  • Activity, Activity Category (available only on the Transaction Comparison by Activity Registrations)

  • Program, Program Type (available only on the Transaction Comparison by Daycare Registrations)

  • Facility, Facility Type, Event Type (available only on the Transaction Comparison by Facility Rentals)

  • Package, Package Category (available only on the Transaction Comparison by Membership Sales)

Include Online Transactions?

Checkbox

Option to include data from transactions that were created on the customer (public access) site.

 

Note: This option is only visible to system users who do not have a multi-site user profile.

Output Type

Dropdown list

The output type or format of the report, as selected from a predefined list.

 

The available output types are Adobe Acrobat Reader, HTML, and Microsoft Excel.

Save Report Definition

Report Title

Text

Option to save the report definition for later use.

 

Click the Report Filter link to learn more about report definitions.

 

Note: The Revenue Site and Transaction Site filters are enabled for this report.
